- -> Adobe Photoshop was released in 1990, after the release of Adobe Illustrator, a PostScript-based drawing package for designers, technical illustrators and artists.

- -> Two brothers had originally created Photoshop. John Knoll, and Thomas Knoll. Thomas had began to create a program that displayed grayscale images on a monochrome display in 1987. His program was originally called "Display". This had caught the attention of his brother John, who suggested to Thomas that he turn "Display" into a full out image editing program. Working diligently together, they developed ImagePro, which was brought to Adobe to create what is now known as Adobe Photoshop.
